How to Beat Lost Planet 2 100% to Get Achievements/Trophies for Difficulty Completion
Lost Planet 2 contains some really ridiculously difficult Achievements/Trophies to earn. So difficult in fact that many who have bought the game have reported to Capcom that their Achievements/Trophies for completing the game on each difficulty setting won’t unlock after beating the game and thus the game is glitched. However the game is NOT glitched . . . you simply haven’t beaten all of the hidden areas needed in order to earn the Achievement/Trophy.
In order to beat the game 100%, you must find and play through an extremely hard to find/easy to miss, well-hidden area on Stage 2-2. From the beginning of the level, if you look up behind to the grey wall on the left-hand side, you will see a dark hole hidden behind a tree. Grapple up there and go into the hole. You will find a shortcut that leads you to a hidden area. Beating this area counts as 3% towards your 100% completion for the campaign on that difficulty setting (If you already beat the game, go back and find this area and beat it and you’ll get the Achievement/Trophy). In addition to this, you also must complete the Prologue Mission 0-B by playing as player 3 or 4 in co-op! Sadly, doing so will only net you 15G on the Xbox 360 version for beating the game on Hard! Pretty ridiculous, considering that Alan Wake gives you more GamerPoints for dodging an enemy and plenty of other games offer you more leveled/fair GamerPoints for your trouble.
