Guitar Hero: Red Hot Chili Peppers rumored
Guitar Hero: Red Hot Chili Peppers is rumored to be the next iteration of band-centric Guitar Hero titles. Despite the fact that Activision has significantly pared down the number of releases for this year.

The rumor comes according to an online survey in which Activision asks users questions about how interested they would be in a “Guitar Hero: Red Hot Chili Peppers” videogame.

Some specific details on what Activision would be including in the game are revealed:

* “Celebrate the entirety of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ life, starting with their early days in LA, to their famous Hyde Park concert to their highly anticipated new studio album,” notes the purported survey. “Discover the story behind their legendary music as you unlock interviews, retrospectives, concert footage and other commentary.”
* Specific albums mentioned include: By The Way, Californication, Give It Away and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “upcoming studio album to be released in 2011.”

Since Activision released previous band-centric games Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero: Van Halen (even though it bombed), it wouldn’t be surprising to see another band-centric game from the publisher. And some of their songs have appeared on previous editions of Guitar Hero. Although it is funny to note that the band’s breakout album, “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” was an exclusive full album download for competitor Rock Band.
