Zen Bound 2 will be released on April 3rd on the App Store to coincide with the release of the Ipad, and is an official iPad launch title.

The game is the sequel to the successful original from developer Secret Exit, and will contain more of everything you loved in Zen Bound, including more music, more levels, better graphics and new gameplay aspects that build on the original game. Zen Bound 2 is “both a sequel and a revision” of the first title.

The game will even include upgraded versions of levels taken from the original. Whereas the new levels will focus on new gameplay mechanics.

An iPhone version will likely follow after the release of the iPad game, which is currently the focus for the developer.

Never heard of Zen Bound? Here’s the official description of the first game:

“A calm and meditative game of wrapping rope around wooden sculptures.

Something to be enjoyed at a slow pace: a game where a high score is not the goal. Zen Bound is designed to challenge in a subtle way, it does not attack or force the player.

Zen Bound is a game of stone, wood and rope; much effort was put into making them feel right. Above all, we focus on playability and polish.

Zen Bound features an original musical score and sound effects by Ghost Monkey. Original concept and coding by Mikko ‘Memon’ Mononen, of modest demoscene experience and previously in lead engineer position for Crysis.”
