On Xbox Live Arcade today: Fret Nice, Greed Corp and Lazy Raiders

From today, at 9AM GMT (2AM PDT), you can play Tecmo’s Fret Nice on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360. Fret Nice will be available worldwide for 1200 Microsoft Points (that’s US$15 / €14.40 / £10.20 / CAN$18.60 / AU$19.80).

Fret Nice is a 2-D platformer that will rock your world. Control your character through funky-fresh stages to explore hidden areas, collect items, and clash note-for-note with outrageous heavy metal bosses! Rock out by blasting enemies with riff combos and creating your own sounds with each “strum” of a chord! Every playthrough offers an ever-changing sonic adventure.

Game features include:

  • Audio dynamics: Notes you play in Riff Combos are in tune with the current key of the stages’ songs, allowing you to play along with the action.
  • Facial attribute system: Enjoy this fun and visual way to interpret riff combos. For example, if there are three eyes and two tentacles on an enemy, you have to “strum” three of the same notes and two other notes that are the same in the riff combo. When a note is played in the air, a Riff Combo will be activated to help defeat enemies.
  • Online leaderboards: The scores from each level played are posted on Xbox LIVE leaderboards. Keep playing for the highest score and beat the competition.
  • Character customization: Choose your character and customize the hair, clothes, and instruments.
  • Unlockables: As you play through the game, new instruments and customizable items can be bought.

    Also available today is Valcon Games’ Greed Corp on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360. Greed Corp will be available worldwide for 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20).

    Why share when you can have it all? Greed Corp is an online multiplayer strategy game in which you battle for dominance over a world once rich in resources. In order to prevail, exhaust all the remaining resources to build an army, and then use the depleted collapsing terrain to your advantage. An extensive campaign mode and multiple unlockables prepare you to take the battle online. Will you defend your territory or sacrifice it to keep it out of enemy hands? Manage the finite available resources to build your army and use the unique collapsing terrain mechanic to your advantage, all while the mist grows closer…

    Game features include:

    The third and last game available today is Sarbakan’s Lazy Raiders on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360. Lazy Raiders will be available worldwide for 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20).

    Dr. Diggabone’s getting too old for archaeological digs, or so he says. Truth be told, he’s just plain lazy… That’s where you jump into Lazy Raiders and take control as you spin and flip mazes to send the Doctor or your Avatar on a gravity-defying quest for lost relics that would bring him instant fortune and glory. Of course you’ll have to deal with greedy thieves, pesky minions, and ingenious traps along the way. If there weren’t any challenges, you’d just grow lazy… and we wouldn’t want that, would we?

    Game features include:

  • Avatar support: Play as your Xbox LIVE Avatar in a challenging platform puzzle game.
  • Spin and flip: The World-Flip mechanic sends you on a gravity-defying quest for lost relics.
  • Pick up and play: The easy-to-learn gameplay lets you jump into the action as you work your way through 75 mazes.
