Second Zelda game on Wii has Wii MotionPlus exclusive controls

Wii New Zelda artwork. Will require Wii MotionPlus
Some new Zelda Wii news has surfaced thanks to an interview with the Japanese Famitsu magazine, in which they talk to Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma about the next Wii-installment in the long-running franchise.

The biggest new piece of information revealed in the interview is that the next Wii Zelda (and the first one to be built from the ground up for Wii, since Twilight Princess was originally a GameCube title) will REQUIRE the Wii MotionPlus accessory.

“After actually making it compatible, it just feels so natural. Link’s sword and the controller that you’re holding become one,” said Aonuma.

He then went on to confirm that Nintendo WILL show the next Zelda game at E3 2010! He also stated that he hopes to have the game PLAYABLE at the show.

Can’t wait!
