Dark Void DLC has been announced with a release date of February 11, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in the form of a Survival Mode.
This mode is exactly as you would imagine it to be from the title. It matches players up against wave after wave of enemies that they must destroy without dying in order to move on. As you defeat the waves they will become increasingly more difficult.
Players will have a running score that they can increase by scoring combo multipliers for doing special actions such as pulling off headshots or hijacking. The mode will include 10 waves in all. No word on whether or not there will be online leaderboards, but it only makes sense for this kind of mode . . .
This mode will also include all-new Achievements and Trophies for players to earn. It will cost 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $5 on the PlayStation Network.
In other Dark Void news, the official soundtrack will be released on February 9th for CD and digital download thanks to Sumthing Else Music Works. In addition to including the music for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of Dark Void, it will also include the 8-bit music used in Dark Void Zero!
