A Crackdown 2 demo has been confirmed! It will be released before the launch date of the game later this year, although an exact release date for the demo (much less the game) wasn’t revealed.
James Cope, who is a producer on the game for developer Ruffian Games, told IGN that the demo for the original Crackdown was a huge success and helped to bolster that game’s sales numbers, hype and interest in the game. And that Ruffian Games plans to follow-suit just like their predecessors at developer Realtime Worlds.
To quote:
“You can definitely expect a demo to hit Xbox Live before the game is out but I can’t say when that will be . . . yet”, producer James Cope told IGN. “The Crackdown 1 demo was fantastic and we want to carry on in that form.”
Good news for those who may still have questions about the quality of Crackdown 2 and whether or not they want to take the plunge upon release.
