Home Sweet Home is the final Assassins Creed 2 Developer Diary before the game’s release exactly one week from now on November 17th, 2009 for PS3 and Xbox 360 (PC is coming in 2010).

In this specific behind-the-scenes video, we get to see scriptwriter Jeffery Yohalem and art director Laura De Young in action as they talk about the storyline for the game, the Animus, and some of the new abilities that you can tap into in this sequel to the hit original Assassins Creed.

This new ability allows you to tap into the Animus to access a database while standing in front of certain buildings or people. You can even do this while taking part in certain gameplay events.

Here is the 6th developer diary.

In addition to the release of the game, a novel based on Assassin’s Creed 2 will also be released on November 26 entitled “Assassin’s Creed: Renaissance”. The book is written by author Oliver Bowden.

“Penguin are hugely excited to be publishing the novelization to the second Assassin’s Creed game,” Alex Clarke, the Penguin editorial director, told Play.tm. “This partnership presents at last a way for traditional book-publishing to cross-over with the ever growing and increasingly exciting world of gaming media.”
