How To Perform a Fatality
You must stand at a specific point of the screen (relative to your opponent) and press a series of buttons.
Here is the list of Fatality Locations (stand here)
Close: You have to be beside your opponent
Sweep: Get close to your opponent and take 2 steps backwards.
Outside Sweep: Move more than two steps back but no more than jumping distance.
Jumping: Get close to your opponent and do 1 jump backwards.
Full Screen: You gotta be standing on the other side of the screen.
How to Perform a Friendship or Bability
You must be able to defeat your opponent without using Block at all during the last round.

How to Fight Jade
In order to fight the third female Ninja, who is hidden, you must take the following steps on the stage right before you reach the Question Mark in the single-player game. Here are the steps:
1. During the match before the Question Mark, you must win one of the rounds using only Low Kicks and the Directional Buttons.
2. The other round can be won normally, so only one round must be won in the above manner.
3. After you meet these requirements and have beaten your opponent, you will fight Jade at the “Goro’s Lair” stage.
How to Fight Smoke
Smoke is a gray-colored male ninja similar to Scorpion. Here is how to fight him. When fighting on “The Portal” stage in a 1 or 2 player game, you can fight Smoke by taking the following steps.
1. After performing an Uppercut, Dan Forden may appear at the bottom of the screen and yell ‘Toasty!’.
2. When this happens, press and hold Start+Down (even if Dan Fordan has already left the screen).
3. If done correctly, you will then fight Smoke at the “Goro’s Lair” stage.
How to Fight Noob Saibot
You can only fight Noob Saibot during a 2-Player Match. To do so you must win 50 matches in a row (25 matches in some versions of the game). Once you’ve reached the 50th match, if done correctly, you’ll face off against a mysterious shadow ninja called Noob Saibot on the Goro’s Lair stage. His name is a play on the names of Mortal Kombat’s co-creators: John Tobias and Ed Boon.
How Make Opponents Slide Off the Roof Pit Spikes
One of the coolest Stage Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 2 is the Pit on the “Kombat Tomb” stage which features spikes on the roof. Once you have finished your opponent and performed the Pit Fatality, hold Down on both player 1 and player 2’s controller. This will cause your opponent to slide off the spikes after the fatality.
Random Character Select
On the Character Select Screen, Player 1 can highlight Lui Kang and press Start+Up to have the computer select a random fighter for you to play as. Player 2 needs to highlight Reptile and press Start+Up.
How to Disable Throws
After choosing your characters in 2-player mode, hold Down and High Punch on both controllers until the match begins.

Cheat Codes List
1. Fight Noob Saibot – At the Character Select screen press Left, Up, Down, Down, Right, Select.
2. Fight Shao-Kahn – At the Character Select screen press Right, Up, Up, Right, Left + Select.
3. Fight Kintaro – At the Character Select screen press Up, Down, Down, Right, Right + Select.
4. Fight Smoke – At the Character Select screen press Up, Left, Up, Up, Right + Select.
5. Fight Jade – At the Character Select screen, press Up, Down, Down, Left, Right + Select.
6. 29 Kredits – At the Character Select screen, press Left, Up, Right, Down, Left + Select.
7. Extra Fatality Time – At the Character Select screen press Up, Up, Left, Up, Down + Select. This code increases the amount of time you have to perform a Fatality from 5 seconds to 15 seconds!
8. Near Invincibility and 1 Hit Opponent Cheat – At the Character Select screen, press Down, Up, Right, Up, Left + Select.
9. Super Damage Cheat – At the Character Select screen press Down, Up, Right, Up, Left + Select. You should hear a swishing sound if you entered the cheat correctly.
10. Team Battle Mode – At the Start Screen, press L+R+Start. This will take you to the hidden 4 vs. 4 Team Battle Mode. This mode must be played with two players; the computer can not control any of the characters.
11. How to destroy Acclaim – Hold L+R as you turn the game on to watch Shao-Kahn and Kintaro wreck the Acclaim logo.
Sega Genesis Version
Cheats List
1. Fight Shao Kahn Code – At the Options Menus, highlight “Done” and Press: A, B, Cx3, Bx2, Ax4, then quickly press B when Shao Kahn appears. You will then fight him as if you had reached the final stage.
2. Play Altered Version of Pong – Win 250 matches in row while playing a 2-Player game. You’ll then be taken to an altered version of Pong! Afterward you’ll be taken back to the game.
3. Test Mode Cheats Menu – In the Options Menu highlight “Done” and Press: Left, Down, Left, Right, Down, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right. You will now see a “Test Mode” option where you can change various features.
4. How to Perform Raiden’s “Fergality” Fatality
Activate the “Test Mode” as described above. Then turn on the ”Oooh, nasty” option. Now, you must be playing as Raiden on the Armory stage (stage 6). When it comes time to do your Finisher, stand at any distance and press L, L, L, BLK. Your opponent will turn into one of the creators of Mortal Kombat!
5. Mad Shao Kahn Glitch
First do the Test Mode cheat as described above. Now set 1st Player to “No damage”. Then set 2nd Player to “One-Hit Kill”. Now you will get a strange reaction after you have beaten Shao Kahn. After the credits are over, Kahn will return for a 3rd, 4th, and a 5th round. Although you can beat him, if you get hit the game will freeze before he is about to explode. Once it is frozen you must simply reset your game.
6. Kung Lao Fatality In First Round Glitch
Enter the Test Mode cheat as described above. Now turn on “One-Hit Kills” for Player 1 and start a 2-Player game. Choose Kung Lao as one of the characters (the second player can be anyone). When the match starts, have Kung Lao do nothing but his Hat Throw move (back, forward, low punch) while having the other opponent stand still. Then on the second round do the same thing. When it says “Finish Him!”, have Kung Lao perform the Hat Throw Fatality (hold low punch and press back, back, forward then release low punch). Then have the other player Continue. Now choose Kung Lao again and the second player can pick any other character. As soon as the first round starts, have Kung Lao do his Hat Throw move immediately. This will do a strange glitch and the hat will cut the persons head off as if you performed a Fatality! You can also have the other player move towards you, then when you do the move their body will slide across the floor!
Sega 32x Version
