The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed White Knight Chronicles 2!
Developer Level 5 announced the sequel to the PlayStation 3-exclusive RPG series was already in development for Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. The text in the above scan explains Leonardo’s story is not yet complete. It further reads: “In White Knight Chronicles I, your Avatar only tagged along, but in White Knight Chronicles II, the Avatar is planned to be treated differently.”
This news bodes well for Western gamers, who haven’t even seen the first White Knight Chronicles game in stores yet, but who can now look forward it being part of a bigger series. The game came out in Japan back in December 2008. Gamers in America and Europe can expect a release of the original White Knight Chronicles sometime in Q1 2010.
