XBOX 360 CHEATS
How to unlock Insane Difficulty
In order to unlock the Insane Difficulty Mode, you must first beat the game on Casual or Hardcore mode.
How to unlock the first secret Gamer Pic
You can unlock a secret Gamer Pic to use on your profile/Gamercard by completing the game on Insane difficulty. The pic is of a Red Gears of War Symbol behind Marcus Fenix.
How to unlock the second secret Gamer Pic
In order to unlock the second secret Gamer Pic you must achieve 10,000 kills in ranked multiplayer matches. Which will also give you the “Seriously . . .” Achievement.
Where to find “Gears Cereal”
You can discover some “Gears Crunch” cereal in the fifth act of Gears of War. To find the cereal, you will want to manuever behind the Beserker that appears when you press the first button. After he bursts out get behind him and make your way to the last train car segment. Inside you will find a cereal box called “Gears Crunch”. The back even shows a prize for you to win . . . a fluffy pillow! Sadly finding the Gears Cereal doesn’t do anything other than give you a chuckle.
Cog Tag Locations video guide (thx to ScathingAccuracy)
In Gears of War you will find red skull icons called “Crimson Omens”. Near each of these you will find a hidden Cog Tag. Collect these to unlock Achievements in the game. Here is a video guide showing you where each one of them is hidden.

2. A Series of Tubes (20) – Host and complete 50 ranked matches.
3. Always Remember Your First (10) – Finish playing a versus ranked match.
4. Around the World (30) – Win a ranked match on every versus map.
5. Broken Fingers (30) – Defeat a Corpser on Hardcore Difficulty.

PC VERSION CHEATS
How to enable cheats
In order to input cheats you must first activate the “Cheat Console”. Once activated you will bring up the Cheat Console box to type in the cheats.
For Windows Vista users you will need to do the following:
Go to [USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\Wargame\Config
Find the “WarInput.ini” file and open it with Notepad
For Windows XP users you will need to do the following:
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War
for Windows\WarGame\Config
Find the “WarInput.ini” file and open it with Notepad
Both users will then change the following lines:

Now when you start your game, press Tilde (~) to bring up the Cheat Console. Now all you have to do is type in one of the following codes to get the desired effect:
Also note if you want to easily activate multiple cheats at once just create a Notepad file in your Gears of War\Binaries folder and name it “cheats.txt”. Then save all the cheat command lines you want inside the file.
Start the game and open the cheat console and type: “exec cheats.txt”. This will activate all the Cheats in the file.
