Echochrome 2 trademarked as Echoshift?

Echochrome 2 may be Echoshift accroding to new patent filed by SCEA
Echoshift has been trademarked as a possible sequel to Echochrome.

The trademark is by Sony Computer Entertainment America. Although we don’t know exactly what it is, it could possibly be Echochrome 2 given the prefix assigned to the name.

Although it hasn’t been officially announced and absolutely no details were revealed. Still it wouldn’t be surprising as the game was kind of a PlayStation Network cult-hit.

Echochrome, if you haven’t heard of it, is an interesting puzzle game whose gameplay involves a mannequin figure that must traverse a rotatable world where physics and reality depend on perspective. For example, by shifting the landscape left or right, lines may align that create a platform, or a hole, that wasn’t there originally. This is used to solve the puzzles in the game and to reach the exit of the stage. The game was developed by Sony’s Japan Studio and is inspired by M. C. Escher’s artwork.
