In their second quarter 2009 financial earnings call, gigantic publisher Take Two decreed that all of their games from this day forward will have either downloadable content or multiplayer modes.
They didn’t go into specifics but they did state that they would take the time to look at each title individually before making a decision.
Naturally they say that they understand that consumers crave extra content after a game’s release. And, of course, they want to be able to make more money. I’m sure it was more the latter than the former.
Either way, this isn’t surprising but it’s still good to know that all of their future titles will feature one, the other, or BOTH.
