Namco has released the first official trailer for Tales of VS., an upcoming PSP fighting game that takes characters from across the Tales series and puts them in a head-on-head fighter much like Castlevania Judgment, Final Fantasy Dissidia or Super Smash Bros. Brawl (looks most like the Castlevania Judgment if you ask me).
The game looks furiously fast and lots of fun. The trailer also has a decent amount of gameplay footage and reveals that the game will contain a whopping 35 playable characters (from 13 Tales games) and reveals a number of them that will appear in the game, including:
* Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia
* Luke Fone Fabre from Tales of the Abyss
* Richter Abend from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
* Shing Meteoryte from Tales of Hearts
The game has yet to be announced for North America but I’m sure it will be given the popularity of the series here.
