A videogame adaptation of Mad Max is in development . . . however it’s release is “a couple of years away”.
The game will reportedly be an action adventure and is being worked on by both Mad Max director George Miller and God of War II director Cory Barlog whom is collaborating on the project.
Miller also has some pretty ambitious story ideas for the game which he says is his opportunity “to make a novel” as he says that storytelling in videogames has come a long way in recent years.
In addition to the goodness of a Mad Max videogame, there is also an upcoming anime film that Miller is also working on. That too he a couple years away but he is definitely hard at work on reviving the franchise.
Sadly though neither project is likely at all to feature Mel Gibson reprising his role.
