For those of you who are fans of the Blue Dragon anime or have never seen the Blue Dragon anime, then you’re in luck because Viz Media has released the first episode of the Blue Dragon anime series for free download on the Apple iTunes Store. The episode will be available for free download until March 10th.
This first episode marks the debut of the series for download on the iTunes store, there are 13 episodes in the Blue Dragon anime’s first season.
Blue Dragon is an adaptation of the Xbox 360 RPG co-created by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and his Mistwalker studio with characters designs by Dragon Ball creator and Dragon Quest game designer Akira Toriyama.
The story tells the tale of Shu, a boy who protects his village from an ancient enemy by invoking the Blue Dragon from his own shadow.
For the anime version, director Yukihiro Matsushita (Maria-sama ga Miteru, Zipang) worked with Studio Pierrot(Bleach, Naruto). Tsuneo Ninomiya (Maple Town Stories, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie) adapted Toriyama’s designs and Megumi Oohashi (Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO, The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye) expanded upon Nobuo Uematsu’s game music.
