Resident Evil 5 isn’t setting out to re-invent the wheel (necessarily, although the game does take place much more in light than in darkness, a polar shift for the franchise) but it is seeking to take the Resident Evil series to new heights with a graphical powerhouse that truly shows off what the current generation of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 hardware can achieve. The game also takes what made Resident Evil 4 great and refines it even further. And since it plays exactly like that million-selling title, then you’ll have no problem jumping right into Resident Evil 5 even if you haven’t played the other Resident Evil titles before RE4.
There isn’t much more to say about the game that hasn’t already been said, but this new trailer definitely seeks to make the case again of why gamers will want to check out the latest adventures of Chris Redfield in Capcom’s Resident Evil 5. And if you haven’t checked out the Resident Evil 5 demo, then do yourself a service and give it a look. And be sure to play it with a friend in online co-op!
Resident Evil 5 has a release date of March 13th (Friday the 13th) for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3.
