Devil Summoner 2 release date in America announced for May 12, 2009

Pre-Order Devil Summoner 2 for PS2Atlus has announced that they will be releasing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon to the PS2 in North America on May 12th, 2009

The follow-up to the original Devil Summoner action RPG will include a deep and easy to use control combat system, nearly 200 demons that players can negotiate with, collect and fuse and bring a variety of strategies for players to employ and master.

The storyline allows players to experience a 1920’s Tokyo that is bustling with cases to solve, criminals to bring to justice and the threat of a the mysterious King Abaddon looming on the horizon.

* Massively upgraded battle system – Advancements to the battle mechanics include a MAG balancing system, dodge and hide abilities, and the ability to command two demons in combat. Players can use the retooled Weapon Alchemy system to create new swords with unique special attacks.
* Deeper demon integration – Demon negotiation returns with more than twice the number of demons to attempt to recruit to your side. Players can create more powerful demons through fusion and skill transfer. Also the ability to control two demons in battle and choose from more tactical options.
* Deep Customization – Over 500 character possibilities – 10 races, 2 genders, 3 alignments and 15 majors add up to incredible opportunity for players to customize their party.
