The Sims 3 may be delayed to currently unannounced date

Pre-Order The Sims 3 for PCLooks like The Sims 3 may be getting a delay from it’s current release date of February 20th.

Although it hasn’t been spoken out loud yet at this point, Edge has reported that Electronic Arts suddenly and unexpectedly changed the release date on their official web-site for The Sims 3 from February 20th to “TBA” (To Be Announced). If that’s not odd enough, they then released a statement saying that Electronic Arts is now “evaluating the launch window.”

At this point it’s unknown why or if EA will be pushing back The Sims 3, but it would seem to be the case from the way they are acting. The game is almost finished so it’ll be surprising if EA pushes the game too far back, but hopefully it won’t get that much of a delay, given how extremely popular the series is, I imagine they want to get it out as soon as possible. Maybe they found some huge glitch or something.

If there is confirmation on the game being delayed we’ll be sure to update this article, but for now take that Sims 3 release date of February 20th with a grain of salt.
