Gears of War 2 title update planned for this month

Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360A title update for Gears of War 2 has been revealed by Epic Vice President Mark Rein on the companies official forums and is due for release this month.

The title update will improve a number of various aspects regarding Gears of War 2 including adding Achievements to downloadable content, fixing bugs and addressing exploits.

The patch will specifically fix online exploits such as those that involve players wielding an invisible shield, gaining infinite Lancer ammo, and equipping a shield with a two-handed weapon.

In addition, Epic is going to make the penalty for quitting matches early harsher, add spawn point protection and add the ability to see the Submission flag using Tac/Com. They will also make shotgun aiming in lag-plagued matches more reliable by fixing the “client side hit detection”.
