Killzone 2 Demo coming via GameStop pre-orders on February 5, 2009

Pre-Order Killzone 2 for PS3It has been revealed that those who pre-order Killzone 2 on February 5th, 2009 will get a demo to download so that they can mess around with the game before its release on February 27th in the US. Which means you’ll be able to play part of the game a whole month before everyone else. In Europe the demo will appear downloadable free-for-all on the PlayStation Network.

The demo will be available exclusively at GameStop while supplies last, available to order both online and in physical stores. However in order to redeem the code to get the demo you must have access to the PlayStation Network. Codes will be sent via e-mail for those who ordered online on February 3rd. For those gamers who ordered in-store, they will be able to pick up their “rave card” with the code on it at the store they ordered the game at the week of January 5th.

Killzone 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the original first-person shooter Killzone that was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004. The game seeks to raise the graphical bar for current-gen shooters and first made a splash with what later turned out to be a computer generated Killzone 2 “target” trailer way back in E3 2006. Three years later, we’ll finally get to see whether or not the final game can hold up to the impressiveness of that initial trailer.
