Mirror’s Edge gets final release date of November 11th

Pre-Order Mirror's Edge on Xbox 360Mirror’s Edge has received a final ship date of November 11th, 2008 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Developed by DICE (the guys behind the Battlefield series) and published by EA, Mirror’s Edge will also be released for the PC but won’t hit until “later this winter”.

A demo for the game will also be released via Xbox Live and PlayStation Network and will include the tutorial and a segment of the single-player story mode. For gamers who pre-order Mirror’s Edge, starting on September 26th, they will get an exclusive code that will unlock the Time Trail Mode in the demo. Time Trial mode challenges players to find the fastest route across the rooftops and through the streets. Players can upload their best time to the Mirror’s Edge leaderboards for their friends to download and compete against . Players can see their friend’s ‘ghost’ run as they race their way through the course to the top of the leaderboards.

In Mirror’s Edge, you play as Faith who must freerun her away across rooftops and through various environments at high speed from a highly realistic first-person perspective where leaping from platform to platform and off of walls onto ladders, etc. is what the game is all about; As you engage in intense combat, fast-paced chases and challenging puzzles.
