EA has announced that Natasha Bedingfield will be the spokeswoman for Boogie Superstar, the second game in the Wii-exclusive dancing music rhythm series. She will also be lending three songs to the game from her new album Pocketful of Sunshine, the songs are: “Angel”, “Love Like This” and the title song, “Pocketful of Sunshine”.
The songstress has this to say about the game, “Boogie SuperStar brings to life all the fun and excitement of performing. Being on stage is such a thrill and it’s great to be a part of an EA video game that lets girls experience how much fun it is to express themselves and explore their own creativity by performing.”
To match the younger audience that the game skews towards, the songlist is packed full of Pop song hits including multiple songs from The Jonas Brothers, Aly & AJ and Rihanna. It also features the very popular “Shake It” from Metro Station and includes the likes of Ashley Tisdale, Hillary Duff and Avril Avril Lavigne. Although why they included TWO songs from Britney Spears is beyond me. Conspicuously absent from the list however is Miley Cyrus. Although maybe she’s being saved for Disney’s own Wii music game, Ultimate Band. The Boogie Superstar songlist also differs depending on the region, but there are some songs that will appear on all versions.
The global Boogie Superstar songlist includes:
