Battlefield: Bad Company adds Conquest Mode on August 7th via free downloadable content

Battlefield: Bad Company on PS3Battlefield: Bad Company (for Xbox 360 & PS3) is getting a new “Conquest” mode on August 7th from EA via a free update.

The mode is well known from Battlefield 1942 and will finally get to be played via Battlefield: Bad Company for those that loved the mode in Battlefield 1942.

In Conquest Mode, players race to deplete the opposing team’s tickets, with one point removed per kill or constant point depletion by capturing control points. Four of the game’s maps currently assigned to Gold Rush mode will also be used in Conquest mode.

The game mode is only slightly different than that of Gold Rush (that shipped with Battlefield: Bad Company), it even plays out on the same maps, but at least it will add even more variety to the game’s already packed multiplayer game.

Here is a trailer for the new Conquest Mode followed by a breakdown from EA Dice, the game’s developer.
