The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack is still coming this winter according to Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime, who announced that the game will be coming during the last 3 months of winter (meaning October, November or December of 2008). “We have said that it will be coming out this year,” Morhaime revealed in a conference call yesterday. “I can tell you it’s not coming in the July to September quarter.”
He also stated that “around 40% of players who left World of Warcraft to go play Age of Conan have returned.”
What’s most insane is that the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is so desired by fans that access keys for the beta have fetched around $1,000 on Ebay.
