Mirror’s Edge release date is November 11, 2008. Escape demo shows rooftop level gameplay

Pre-Order Mirror's Edge for PS3Mirror’s Edge from EA and DICE has been given a release date on November 11th, 2008. The first-person action adventure game is coming to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

See the graceful and hard hitting free-running gameplay demo that shows a rooftop level that’s one of various environments in the game. It’ll clearly show how the freedom of movement is achieved. For example by the many parkour inspired moves and by tying camera movement more closely with character movement, such that the rate at which the camera bobs up and down increases as Faith builds up speed while running and the camera spins when she somersaults. Also, the arms, legs, and even torso at times are prominent and their visibility is used to convey movement and momentum, such that Faith’s arms pump and the length of her steps increase with her gait, and her legs cycle and arms flail during long jumps.
