Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Fusion debut trailer from E3 2008

Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PCMarvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion has been confirmed at E3 2008 by Activision and developer Vicarious Visions. It was shown only for Xbox 360 although previous reports have it slated for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP and DS.

The first game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, was developed by Raven Software but they were busy with three other games (the new Wolfenstein for one) so development had to switch hands for the new game.

Not a whole lot is known about the game but the subtitle refers to a new gameplay system that will allow you to combine two characters abilities for unique new special attacks, such as fusing Spider-Man’s powers with Storm’s to give Spider-Man lightning webs. Experimentation can lead to discovering multiple fusions and different roads to success.

The trailer reveals a host of characters including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, etc.). It wasn’t revealed whether or not the game will be following Marvel’s “Civil War” storyline, something that had been leaked previously.
