Game-based movies are becoming all the rage in Hollywood nowadays. A Lost Planet movie adaptation from the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game is said to arrive in theatres in 2011. Details on the rumored project have been few and far between, but 1UP sources say that Warner Bros. will distribute, with Capcom and Seaside Films co-producing.
A month ago a similar rumor popped up when David Hayter — who wrote the X-Men 1 & 2 screenplays, but who you’ll best know as the voice of Metal Gear Solid’s Snake — said in a Evil Avatar Radio interview that he’s in talks with Warner Bros. to write the screenplay for this Lost Planet film adaptation.
