Samba De Amigo Wii is an update of the Dreamcast year-2000 cult classic music-rhythm game. Sega has set the Samba De Amigo Wii release date on August 19th, 2008, at a price of $49.99. This sequel has added stages, characters and new graphics and gameplay modes. So get ready to play as the grinning, sombrero-topped monkey, Amigo, to shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk like maracas, in time with the visual beats of the on-screen music.
This new Samba De Amigo Wii trailer poses a curious question: “Would you invite a strange maracas-wielding monkey man into your home?” Maybe if you were as bored as these people.

This early video interview with a Sega America representative is interesting, because she explains that two Wii remotes (or a Wii remote and a Nunchuk) will mimic the sound of real maracas, as well as simulating the feeling of rice in a maraca by giving rumble feedback like the real thing (or the original Dreamcast maraca controllers would).
