Namco Bandai Games America released the first screenshots for Soul Calibur, their latest game for Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360. Originally released in 1999 for the Sega Dreamcast, and available on Xbox LIVE Arcade this summer. Soul Calibur remains the highest rated fighting game of all time and the screens highlight the transition to the High Definition era and fan favorite characters.

Soul Calibur is back for a new generation! Sharpen your blades and relive past grudges with the start of the definitive console 3-D fighting franchise. Prove your worth against the world with dozens of leaderboards spanning every character and mode. Hone your fighting instincts in Arcade, Survival and Training modes or challenge a friend in local-play Versus mode.

It seems no online fighting mode nor widescreen support were added and, aside from the added High Definition graphics and Anti-Aliasing, it basically looks like Soul Calibur is running on a Dreamcast emulator for Xbox 360.
