On the PAL Wii Virtual Console today: Phantasy Star III

Get a Wii Points Card at Amazon UKToday Nintendo of Europe (and Australia) added a new classic game to the popular Wii Shop Channel. The game went live at midnight CET. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at stores like Amazon UK (Card).

Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom on Sega Mega DrivePhantasy Star III: Generations of Doom (priced 800 Wii Points = €8 / £6 / AU$12): is a traditional console role-playing game that was released for the Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis in the United States) in 1990. It’s a sequel to the previous game in the series, Phantasy Star II, although (outside a similar turn-based combat battle system with random enemy encounters) the connections to other games in the Phantasy Star series are not immediately obvious from the start of the single player game. Time to save another kidnapped princess.
