With the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 being released in Europe this Friday, Midway Games confirmed the PC version (worldwide) and PS3 version (in America) of the FPS game sold well with the company shipping over 1.2 million copies of Unreal Tournament 3 worldwide. No word yet on the long-awaited Xbox 360 version.
“The separated format releases have worked well, effectively giving each sku its own space,” said Martin Spiess, European Managing Director of Midway Games. “Epic has delivered a game of impeccable quality and superb playability, and sales figures clearly show the timing was also spot on,” quotes Videogamer.
