Today Nintendo of Europe (and Australia) added new classic games to the popular Wii Shop Channel. The games went live at midnight CET. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at stores like Amazon UK (Card).

Phantasy Star II: The End of the Lost Age (priced 800 Wii Points = €8 / £6 / AU$12) is a console role-playing game released in 1989. The second installment of the acclaimed RPG series, the first to be released for Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, is an epic tale of a future world on the brink of apocalypse; featuring an absorbing sci-fi storyline, a memorable cast of characters and fast-paced combat action. Hours upon hours of classic role-playing action await!
The battle system is turn-based, allowing the player to choose commands for up to four characters. Each of the eight characters has a different set of preferred weapons and armor, as well as techniques, suited to the character’s job.
Eternal Champions (priced 800 Wii Points = €8 / £6 / AU$12) is a 2D fighting game that introduces a cast of different characters that met untimely deaths in their lives on Earth. Now they have been given a chance to compete against each other, with the winner taking on the Eternal Champion, the ultimate fighter in the universe. The reward for defeating the Eternal Champion is a return to Earth for the opportunity to avenge death and restore balance to the universe. Choose from nine unique characters with a variety of fighting styles, and bring your best moves to defeat all comers in your quest to topple the Eternal Champion.
