Trauma Center: New Blood (Wii) preview. Release date is November 20th

Pre-Order Trauma Center: New BloodTrauma Center: New Blood is an all-new Wii sequel to the previous Wii version (Trauma Center: Second Opinion) which was a remake of the original Nintendo DS Trauma Center game. The Trauma Center series is a fun medical “simulation” (term used lightly) game where you need quick reflexes, a sharp mind and solid hand as you use tools to operate on patients. The gameplay is very fast-paced in the style of something like Elite Beat Agents while the storyline, graphics and characters are all wrapped up in an anime-influenced style.

The storyline in Trauma Center: New Blood follows Dr. Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock, two Alaskan surgeons with the Healing Touch who are recruited into the Concordia Medical Institute after their local facilities closes down. Once there, they learn that the doctors on staff are regularly more concerned with maintaining their excessive lifestyles than they are with the patients they tend to. Markus and Valerie are eventually taken into a government organization known as Caduceus, where they begin to learn about a vast conspiracy.

And like the last game this one uses the same style, but features all new features, missions and characters. But the biggest addition is a 2-player cooperative mode, where you and a friend can team-up to operate together, both using their own tools at the same time. While it’ cooperative it’s also competitive as both players try and vie for the higher score and bragging rights. There is also an online score ranking system and the game supports 480p and 16:9 widescreen modes.

Trauma Center: New Blood has a release date of November 20th in the US (no European release date yet). Watch the two-player fun in action in this new trailer.
