Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has confirmed that Beautiful Katamari has been cancelled for the PS3 and is heading to the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360.
Disappointing news for fan of the PS2/PSP Katamari Damacy games where the series started out on PS2. Namco reportedly had programming problems with the PS3 version, which is what is being blamed for the cancellation.
The development of Beautiful Katamari will continue on the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Beautiful Katamari has a release date on October 17th 2007 on Xbox 360 with a Wii date yet to be announced (but was previously said to be November 14th 2007). PS3center translates that new reports are stating that somewhere down the line it may appear on the PS3 via the PlayStation Store as a downloadable title but it will not be what it is on the Xbox 360 and Wii. — Via Destructoid
