Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles gets co-op multiplayer mode

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles logoIn the latest issue of Japanese games magazine Weekly Famitsu, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles on Nintendo Wii features a 2-player co-op mode.

The on-rails shooter game is said to feature situations where players will use explosives such as grenades or shooting barrels and cars in the background to kill multiple zombies at once. Selecting different players will also change the starting point of the game. For example, selecting Rebecca will start the horror game in the train cars similar to Resident Evil 0. Other playable characters are Jill and Chris from Resident Evil 1, and Rebecca and Billy from Resident Evil 0.

Umbrella Chronicles will tell the untold stories of the Umbrella corporation, that was featured throughout majority of the Resident Evil series, and will take you and a friend between 15 and 20 hours to finish. See it in action:
