Nintendo DS Camera and Face Training game announced

Nintendo DS Camera with Face TrainingNintendo of Japan announced Face Training (Otona No DS Kao Training) in Japan today, the game will include a Nintendo DS Camera to plug into the Game Boy Advance slot on the Nintendo DS and shows your face as you play the game. It also comes with a Stand for your DS Lite.

Haha, it’s time to train your face people! Sick of your old face? Time to train for a face lite. Oh man, what will they think of next? The idea behind it is what the Japanese call “facening,” or facial exercises. By doing certain facial exercises, you can make your skin more elastic and have a prettier face in theory. Sounds like the next in line of the non-games.

Wired translates that the game is aimed straight at women. Facening expert Fumiko Inudo lends her facepertice to the game, which is co-developed by Fire Emblem makers Intelligent Systems. In the illustration above, the game asks the player to close her right eye while her mouth is scrunched up to the same side. This is probably to give her fuller, rosier cheeks. Release date in Japan is August 2nd, 2007, at a price of 4,800 Yen or about $39 / €29.

I enjoyed the GameBoy Color Camera, so if they release some actual DS games for this camera it could be fun.
