Lost Planet Map Pack #3 with 8-bit goodness released on Xbox Live Marketplace today

Lost Planet for Xbox 360Multiplayer map pack #3 for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition on Xbox 360 will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace starting today.

Lost Planet combines a single player campaign with multiplayer modes that have support for up to 16 players online on Xbox Live. Lost Planet is big on visuals and has an unmatched level of detail as advanced light sourcing is used to ensure a realistic presentation that enhances every explosion, smoke and particle effect. Enormous world maps unfold as players battle hostile creatures in blistering weather conditions across vast snowfields and deserted cities either on foot or in armed, robotic Vital Suits.

The third map pack costs 400 Microsoft Points and includes three new multiplayer levels:

1. “Lost Technology,” a throw-back to the good ol’ days of pixelated 8-bit gaming. Take a look:

2. “Ruins,” ancient temples set amidst a lush jungle. Watch a video walking through the level:

You might remember the Lost Planet Collector’s Edition had an extra map not in the regular version. Well, Capcom has this month released the special map “Battleground” for free in the Xbox Live Marketplace.
