The ESRB Ratings website is a great sneak peek into what games we can expect to be released in the near-future. This time a search has dug up some Xbox Live Arcade results.
Sometimes I think there’s a rule written in stone at Sega Headquarters: “The original Sonic shall be reproduced for every game-playing system ever created.” The same is true for the Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade, because it’s getting Sega Genesis/MegaDrive Sonic The Hedgehog (1991). If you’ve done enough running with your favorite hedgehog, then maybe you’ll want to take a swim with another Sega Genesis/MegaDrive classic Ecco the Dolphin (1992). No word on what (if any) extras the games will include, nor a possible release dates.
Empire Interactive earlier this month confirmed the Amiga classic Speedball II: Brutal Deluxe (1991) will be converted to Xbox Live Arcade with the addition of all-new HD graphics, multiplayer over Xbox Live, more sports teams and downloadable content. The PC version will arrive in autumn 2007, so the console version should arrive at the same time.
