Warhawk online U.S. beta announced for May 24. Retail PS3 version comes with Bluetooth headset for VOIP

Sony and Incognito just confirmed that the online beta of Warhawk will be available to the U.S. via the PlayStation Network on May 24th, 2007. You can register now at this Warhawk PlayStation.com page. If you register you get a chance to be accepted into the online beta and get your hands on the long-awaited remake to the original PlayStation hit, as well as a chance to provide valuable data to Incognito.

Release is set for September 2007, both online as a Playstation Store download, and as a retail version on Blu-ray disc that comes with a Bluetooth headset and more extras like developer interviews & a behind the scenes look.

The game features: over 20 different weapons, 2 kinds of aircraft, 4 ground vehicles, 4 heavy ground turrets, and takes place across 25 different maps scattered across 5 different worlds. Which, you can do in up to 32-player multiplayer with VOIP integration.

The Warhawk online beta will require: access to a PS3 that is connected to the internet via a broadband connection, an active PlayStation Network account, and be 18 years or older.
