The Bouncer from Square-Enix for PS2The June issue of Game Informer magazine announced Square-Enix’s new RPG franchise The Last Remnant. It will be directed by Hiroshi Takai (game planner on The Bouncer) and uses the Unreal Engine 3. It’s a turn-based RPG with Quick Timer Event gameplay. Siliconera says the game is more than likely a multiplatform game for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The game features two characters:
1. Rush (traditional Square-Enix hero) who will appeal to the Japanese gaming audience.
2. The Conqueror (dark/anti-hero) will appeal to the Western gaming audience.
This wide appeal means the game will be released simultaneously in America & Japan.
