The Simpsons XXII is an upcoming game based on the animated television series The Simpsons. The title “XXII” is based on the fact that it is the 22nd video game in the Simpsons franchise.
Electronic Arts revealed the new game with a countdown timer and Roman numerals title in a parody of Rockstar Games’ countdown to GTA IV in April 2007. The timer counts down to a launch on May 9th, 2007 at 2PM EST (7PM UTC).
Several Wikipedia sources report plans for a game based on The Simpsons Movie in March 2007, after a game titled The Simpsons Game was found on a retailer product listing. No clue as to what systems its for, but it will no doubt be multiplatform. — Via Neogaf
