While listening to IGN’s Wii-k in Review podcast, an interesting quote was revealed from in-the-know editor Matt Casamassina. Here’s the GN transcription:
“There used to be this fighting franchise that came to GameCube, coming to Wii but it won’t be a fighting game anymore. Now its going to be some kind of crazy-ass adventure game.” He then hints that there “was one fighting game that sold pretty well that was from a 3rd party. I’m sure you can figure out what it was.”
Obviously that’s Namco Bandai’s Soul Calibur 2 (Link Edition). While a Soul Calibur Adventure game could be fun on Wii, but it’s hopefully not be a replacement for the upcoming multiplatform Soul Calibur 4 fighting game.
