Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles first video of the on-rails Wii shooter

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles logoThis week Capcom held its, uh, Capcom Gamer’s Day 2007. For the first time they showed off fun gameplay footage of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. Capcom producer Masachika Kawata said: “It’s a brand new all original title that has been developed from the ground-up. It’s a title that isn’t a port of any way, shape or kind. The game has been developed focusing on the point, shoot and aim feature of the Resident Evil franchise and we’re trying to deepen that part of the experience.”

The on-rails shooter (similar to Sega’s House of the Dead) will be between 15 and 20 hours long, in that time you’ll play through portions of Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 in true 3D. Take a look at this first video that shows the handgun, shotgun and machine gun shooting its way through zombies.
