Ninja Gaiden Sigma PS3 details reveal its more than a Ninja Gaiden: Black Xbox port

Ninja Gaiden: Black for Xbox (playable on Xbox 360)Tecmo reveals cynics will be surprised to find out Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS3 (supposedly getting released on June 26, 2007, in the U.S.) will be much more than the 2005 Xbox hit Ninja Gaiden: Black. Let’s get the technical talk out of the way first: It’ll let you partially install, or fully install the game on the PS3 hard drive to help loading times. All cinema scenes in the PS3 version will be real time. It promises to run at a consistent 60 FPS with full self-shadowing and in 720p.

Everything from backgrounds, enemies, characters, animations, and textures will be redone. There will be new moves, actions, and weapons for Hayabusa. Most of the new changes are for the playable Racheal, who will have a completely separate catalogue of attacks and animations (think DOAX2), new mission-mode levels and story missions from her perspective.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is 19 chapters long, 3 more than the original. Plus there’s a new, even harder difficulty mode. Yes, even harder than it was in Ninja Gaiden: Black.New trailer from Gamevideos, some info via Eurogamer.
