Koji Kondo is one of the most well known composers in the video game industry, having created some of the most memorable themes for Nintendo, including the Super Mario Bros. theme songs, Starfox, and the Zelda themes, which includes the songs from Ocarina of Time (Gerudo Valley is definitely a personal favorite of mine).
His Mario theme is so popular in fact that it has been on Billboard Magazine’s Hot Ringtones chart for over one hundred and ten weeks, where it also hit #1. In this video you can watch the master himself play the Mario theme songs on piano.
