S.T.A.L.K.E.R. F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. F.I.N.I.S.H.E.D.

Pre-order S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for PCS.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost was first announced in November 2001 for release in 2003. Nearly six years after it’s initial announcement, and many delays in between, the game is renamed as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for release on March 20th, 2007.

Many feared S.T.A.L.K.E.R. would become vaporware like Duke Nukem Forever, so while we normally shun “this game is finished yay!” gone gold posts, we wanted to point out that Stalker (got sick of the dots and capital letters) went gold this week! GS points out it’s rated M for Mature thanks to blood and gore, intense violence, strong language, use of alcohol, and will retail for $39.99.

Here’s a brief history of the infamous nuclear power plant disaster Stalker is based on, accompanied by disturbing gameplay footage of the FPS-RPG PC game.
