New Lumines Live! downloads next Wednesday. 1 out of 3 free on Xbox Live Gold

Lumines Live Heavenly Star SkinGamerscoreblog says good things come in threes, and next week’s Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday release is no exception to that rule. Three new packages of Lumines Live! content will be available for download on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 beginning Wednesday, January 24th, at 9AM GMT (1AM PST). Two of the add-on packs will be available at the temporary promotional price of 100 Microsoft Points (that’s $1.25 / €1.20 / £0.85) each, and one of them will be free (the Heavenly Star Skin shown above) to Xbox Box Live Gold Members from January 24th – February 21st, 2007.

Lumines Live! combines puzzles, music and video entertainment to create an addictively-fun gameplay experience that looks and sounds as good as it plays. Play several different single player modes, battle friends online over Xbox Live, create your own skins playlist in the all-new Skin Edit Mode, and experience new ways to play via exclusive downloadable content to enhance and extend the gameplay experience. Here are the details…

1. Heavenly Star Skin: Performed by a new group called Genki Rockets and produced by Q Entertainment’s own Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the song’s catchy and uplifting tune combined with equally striking video has caught the attention of many gamers and was recently nominated Best Song at the 2006 Spike TV Video Game Awards for its appearance in the PSP’s Lumines II game. Enjoy the music video in stunning HD and 5.1 Surround Sound as you play your way through the falling blocks.

2. VS CPU Pack: Challenge CPU opponents with this download. Enjoy the stylish skin and character designs that match the theme of each of the stages. Look for the special bonus skin at the end of the challenge!

3. Puzzle/Mission Pack: In Puzzle Mode, try to create a certain shape (a dog, a heart, a number) by using the falling blocks. The new Mission Mode challenges you to clear all the blocks within a certain number of moves. You’ll find 100 new puzzles and 50 missions included in this pack.
