Guitar Hero II on Xbox 360 gets 10 new exclusive songs and more

After yesterday’s Guitar Hero 2 March 2007 release date announcement. Redoctane has revealed some more facts about the new Xbox 360 version. Guitar Hero 2 wil include 74 songs, of which 64 tunes are from the PS2 version.

The ten new exclusive songs, all of which are unlockable in career mode, are:
1. “Billion Dollar Babies” by Alice Cooper,
2. “Dead!” by My Chemical Romance, *
3. “Hush” by Deep Purple,
4. “Life Wasted” by Pearl Jam,
5. “Rock ‘N Roll Hoochie Koo” by Rick Derringer,
6. “Possum Kingdom” by Toadies, *
7. “Salvation” by Rancid,
8. “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden,
9. “Drink Up” by Ounce of Self,
10. “Kicked to the Curb” by Noble Rot.

Guitar Hero 2 is already out on PS2Redoctane told Teamxbox that the music game will include “achievement points, download themes, picture packs, and, most importantly, new songs through Xbox Live Marketplace.” These new songs are available on the day that the game hits stores, so players can immediately expand the playable song list. Gameinformer mentions there are 50 unlockable achievements, which are earned through a variety of methods. Here are a few of them:

* Eddie Van Halen Award—Get a 500 note streak
* Life of the Party—Bought all characters
* Record Collector—Bought all songs
* Big Spender—Spent $10,000 at store
* Perfectionist—Get 100% on a song
* 200k Club—Get 200,000 points in a song
* Rock Snob Award—Refused to play an encore
* Scoremonger—Got an 8x multiplier

There are also achievements for completing the various difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard and expert) and for playing through the game’s two-player modes. The game doesn’t support online multiplayer, though it does feature an online leaderboard.
