Next-gen Tomb Raider game will see Lara Croft look as real as Angelina Jolie in the 3rd movie

Tomb Raider: Legend for PS2Tomb Raider: Legend developer Crystal Dynamics is already hard at work on the next-gen Tomb Raider game. Eidos boss Ian Livingstone revealed this in an interview with EGTV talking about the game’s future.

To quote Mr. Livingstone: “I’ve seen some of the in-game models and it’s just like watching television; if you felt you were in love with Lara Croft previously, you ain’t seen nothing yet. You’ll be drooling when you see the new Lara as she appears in the next iteration.”

No release date estimate was given for the next-gen sequel. In the meantime there’s the Tomb Raider 10th Anniversary Edition game, which will be properly unveiled soon.

“There’s a possibility – we’ve been talking to Paramount, who’ve agreed to assign a scriptwriter. That’s nowhere near the green-light process but it’s a very healthy start to have a scriptwriter which they’re going to pay serious amounts of money to write the first script.”
